Another week, another title for the irrepressible Conor Gannon.

Conor justified his Number 1 seed billing to win the Fitzwilliam Indoor Open yesterday (Sunday, 19th January) with an impressive 6/0, 7/5 win over Number 4 seed Cian McDonnell.

Conor played some incredible tennis in the first set, winning it without dropping a game. He overcame a sluggish start to the second set where he lost the first three games before fighting back to level the set. He broke serve at 6/5 and served out to win in straight sets. In doing so he completed the tournament without dropping a set.

The Mens First Team kick off their Winter League campaign on Sunday next (26th January at 11am) at home to Fitzwilliam. Conor will be featuring on the team so we would encourage members to pop in and watch Conor in action. You won’t be disappointed.
