Junior Championships Newsflash

This year’s Junior Championship Tournament will run from Monday 16th – Saturday 21st August. Sign up and payment for the tournament is on line this year through Tennis Ireland tournament software and is now open for entry

Online Entry and Rules 2021

1. Only online entries will be accepted using your Tennis Ireland Pin. Payment via Paypal is part of the entry process.

2. Players can only enter a maximum of 2 events.

3. Players can only play in their own age groups. There is an exception to this where there is no doubles event in an age group. For example - for U16s, there is no doubles in their age group so they may play up to u18.

4. When entering doubles – you do not need to add your partner’s Pin – only their name.

5. Players must be under specified age on 1st January 2021. For example an u10 must be born 2011 or later.

6. Minimum age is 8.

7. Closing date for entries - Monday 9th August. No late entries will be accepted.

8. Availability - Juniors not fully available for the duration of the tournament may only enter one event, which must be singles. Only exceptional unavailability requests will be considered. As part of the online entry you will be asked to fill in any unavailability.

9. All matches will consist of 2 tie break sets. A championship tie break will operate if the score is 1 set all.

10. There will be a plate event in singles only.

11. Order of play will be on tournament software and posted on the club windows. Juniors should check this daily. Please click here

12. Players must provide their own tennis balls and drinks. U10s will play full court with midi tennis balls.
