MEN’S "SUPER SINGLES" Tennis - This Friday November 17th from 6pm to 8pm
The response to the men's "super singles" tennis event has been fantastic with 22 players registered to take part. A special thanks to all who have committed their time to participate. The program of play will consist of 11 matches (each the best of 13 games, maximum one hour) to be played between 6pm and 8pm. Players are encouraged to meet at the club house at 5:50pm for a brief introduction, the selection of captains, and the assignment of courts. The team sheet and schedule of matches is set out in the table below and in the attached file. A selection of nibbles will be provided courtesy of Carole and Mary - please bring a beverage along to complement their kind efforts. All club members are welcome to come along on the night and enjoy the action.
MOBILITY RAMP AND PATIO
We wish to advise members that the ground work to install the disability ramp will commence in the club on Monday 4th December. The ramp design has been available on club notice board for some months and the work will also include an improved level path area in front of the patio doors with a ramped access to the function room and kitchen. We will send further details to members in the coming week with the plans.
All 6 courts will be available for the duration of the work although the access point to courts 4, 5, and 6 may be via gates at court 6 or court 1.
There will be signage and safety posters to highlight which areas of the club will be out of bounds.
We ask parents to ensure that younger members are fully supervised during this period of work for their safety.
Please note that the driveway will be closed for parking to allow the construction team access to the club and to locate a skip for disposal of waste.
Please contact the office or a member of the executive team if you have any queries.
HEALTH &SAFETY
We would like to remind members to ensure they wear appropriate tennis footwear when playing tennis.
Please also remember to inform the office of any accident and incidents and complete an Accident form which is located on the H&S notice board. This is to ensure that the club committee can monitor accidents and minimise risks to members.
While Arek is on leave we would ask members if they might use the brushes to sweep leaves off courts. Brushes are located at front door of club.

UPDATE FROM STEPHEN
JUNIOR LEAGUE SEMI FINALS - GIRLS U/14 - U/18
Congrats to both teams on reaching the Semi finals ..a great achievement, and thanks to all the club members who came to support on Sunday
They battled very hard in their respective matches on Sunday last..... the U/18's v Newpark (away) & the U/14's v Celbridge (home) - both teams were pipped 2/1 with the U/14's match going down the wire...all three matches going to a 3rd set tiebreak - only to lose the deciding match 10/8!
Great sportsmanship was shown all round - Well done Isobel - Clara - Isabelle & Millie (U18 team)
Rosie & Zoe - Anna & Robyn - Emily & Lydia (U/14 team)
MEN'S FLOODLIGHT LEAGUE 1/4 FINAL
The Mens' 1st team played a cracker of a match v Co. Wicklow in their 1/4 final match last Monday...they didn't make it - but the standard of tennis was brilliant.
Fair play to you, Mickeymac - Johnny - Fergus - & Michael.
Cheers Stephen
AREK
On behalf of all the members we would like to send our deepest sympathies to Arek on the death of his beloved brother Czark in Poland.
Arek has flown home to be with his family at this very sad time.
