MLTC Club Notices 16.12.22

COURT UPDATE

As of 12.30pm today, the frost has not fully thawed off the courts and for health and safety the club unfortunately must remain closed! Club nite for tonight is cancelled. Will further update tomorrow morning. 

JUNIOR COACHING JANUARY 2023 

A reminder that booking for the January term will take place in December on Easy Payments, and will open at 10am on Monday 12th December and will close at 12 noon on Monday 19th December.

SENIOR COACHING JANUARY 2023

Booking will take place in December on Easy Payments and will open at 10am on Tuesday 20th December and will close at 12 noon on Wednesday 4th January.  This is to enable coaches and the office to deal with queries in advance of the coaching term commencing. There is an increase in costs for senior coaching.

WINTER LEAGUE – Mens & Ladies
Sign up sheets for mens and ladies winter league teams are now on the club noticeboard.  This league starts on Sunday 22nd Jan and will run for 5 weeks (before the playoffs)

For ladies league, the key criteria for selecting teams will be previous league results and club championship results together with guidance from the Head coach Stephen and his coaching team.  The results from recent box matches will be used for additional guidance only.

CHRISTMAS CLUB OPENING TIMES

The office will remain open until 22nd  Dec, 9am – 1pm Mon to Fri.  It will be closed then from 23rd Dec and reopen on 3rd Jan. 

MEN’S MORNING

Men’s morning will be from 10am to 12 as normal this week (Weather permitting!). Do come to enjoy a game and a cuppa after!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

As Arek is enjoying a well-deserved Christmas break from this Sunday 18th Dec until Sunday 8th January,  we will need some volunteers to assist with the opening and closing of the club.

JUNIOR NEWS:

CHRISTMAS GIANT TEAM TOURNAMENT  –  Tomorrow 16th Dec

This Giant Tournament is a fun event with teams made up of players of all ages!

Pizza for all after the tennis, and prizes for the winning team!

Date:  Friday 16th December

Time:  4pm – 6pm

Ages:  8 – 16 years

Cost:   €5  on Easy Payments   and sign up sheet on noticeboard

We look forward to seeing all our Juniors at this Christmas fun event!
