SENIOR COACHING SCHEDULE – NEW TERM
Please find attached the Senior Coaching Schedule, now open for booking on Easy Payments.
Please note that there are different starting dates due to some sessions catching up on rained off sessions from previous term!
SENIOR LEAGUE- LADIES QUARTER FINAL
The ladies Team 6 had a narrow defeat last Saturday to Mount Pleasant in the quarter finals of senior league.
Hard luck to Jacqui, Sarah, Suzanne, Noreen, Terri and Deirdre who all played their hearts out, however it was a great achievement to earn promotion to Class 4 and to get down to the last 8 in the league.
LAUNCH OF LADIES SINGLES LADDER ON CLUB MANAGER
Ladies are invited to sign up for the Ladies Singles Challenge Ladder which has now been set up on Club Manager. The ladder, which has been set up in response to requests from many members, will be run for a trial period of 6 months until the end of April 2024.
The purpose of the challenge Ladder is to encourage more singles play in the club and to give ladies a mechanism for arranging challenge matches. A full set of guidelines will be sent to everyone who decides to participate. Participation is entirely on an opt-in basis. Going forward, if the Ladder becomes established, match results from it may be used as a high level guide in the selection of singles players for summer league, together with other established selection criteria.
We hope to get an active ladder up and running soon!! If you are interested in participating please sign up on Club Manager by Sunday 29th October. Sign up is very straightforward, and is summarised on the attached pdf information sheet.
Many thanks to Deirdre Morrissey and Siobhan Coburn who have formed a set-up group with Aoife Stokes and who will be delighted to help with any queries.
LADIES DOUBLES BOX MATCHES.
The popular ladies doubles Box Match tournament will take place again this year and will run over the period mid- November to mid- January 2024.
Further details will be issued shortly.
FLOODLIGHT LEAGUE
Men -
Our two men's teams played the penultimate fixture of the Floodlight league group stages. In match 1 MLTC lost 2-1 against Leopardstown 1. In a close contest the deciding match went to a championship tiebreak. Team 2 won both singles but lost the doubles to Greystones 1. This result gives the team a chance to maintain status in Class 2.
Next week both teams are at home to Sandycove 1 and Rathgar TC1. Matches will be played on Monday at 7pm.

Ladies Morning Halloween Tournament
Don’t forget to sign up for the spooktacular Halloween tournament which is taking place next Wednesday 25th October between 10am - 12pm.
Sign up sheet is on the notice board in the clubhouse. Please sign up by Monday 23rd October or message Elaine who will add your name in.
Entry fee is €10 to be paid on the day, either by cash or Revolut.
There will also be a prize for the best dressed Halloween costume.

Ladies Social Evening
Join us for a ladies tennis tournament on Friday 10th November between 6-8pm followed by wine, nibbles and chats. All welcome!
Sign up sheet will be on the notice board shortly. Please sign up by Wednesday 8th November or message a member of the ladies committee who will add your name in.
Entry fee is €10 to be paid on the night, either by cash or Revolut.
Ladies Christmas Party - 1st Dec.
The annual Ladies Christmas Party is taking place on Friday 1st December from 7pm.
The night consists of a prosecco reception, a delicious 3 course meal and a live DJ until late. Tickets will be going on sale through Easy payments in the next few days.
Be sure to book early to avoid disappointment, as numbers are limited.
MEN’S MORNING – Sunday Mornings
Men’s morning will be on at the usual time to 10am – 12 noon this Sunday.
Do come along for a hit and a social cuppa!
CLUB NIGHT
Club night will be on as usual tonight between 8pm and 10pm.
Pop down at any stage for a hit and a chat!

Well done to Jacqui Byrne and her team on reaching the Class 5 1/4 Final of the Senior League, thus gaining promotion for next year's campaign.
