Well it was "Ladies Day" last Sunday! Seven of the eight league teams were successful...I wonder had they an extra spring in their step with the presence of one Jordan Larmour who was in the club to watch his belle Lucy (Byrne) play her league match! The men struggled to register one team win....but there's a long way to go yet.
Another tough week for the Mens' morning court wise, with 2 matches @ 9.30am & 2 matches @ 11am In the afternoon the Ladies have 2 matches @ 2pm & 1 @ 3.30pm.
The Easter Cup got underway last Saturday with the Silver team registering a 3/0 win and the Platinum team going down but earning 1 valuable point. There's 1 home match this Saturday @ 11am. Very best of luck to all teams this weekend!
Club Night: Another beautiful day....so pop down to club night tonight...who's hosting it?... Robert & Vera!! Many thanks yet again.
The Ladies Morning Charity league starts on Monday / Tuesday next 10th/11th..again all courts have been booked online so you can check re court availability...this Monday there are no Home matches and just 1 Home match on Tuesday @ 10am. Very best of luck Ladies!
Deadline to signup for the Valentine's Fun Tournament ( Wed next the12th) is tomorrow Friday the 7th. The tournament is open to all levels and new members are particularly welcome. Time: 9.30am - Entry fee: €15.00
Juniors: Group coaching is going strong in this lovely weather....hard to believe it'll be mid term on Monday week (17th) The U/12 Stars & Stripes league starts next Saturday the 8th. There has been a huge reponse on the sign up sheet for places on the team - especially the boys - which is great - but a bit of a headache for the selectors! There will be some kiddies disappointed but don't let that deter their enthusiasm.
Speaking of mid term - the online booking of courts will revert to allow Juniors have priority on all courts from 10am - 1pm and 2pm - 5pm. In other words bookings can only be made before 10am, from 1- 2pm and after 5pm.
What can we say about poor Garry....playing a blinder last week and he ends up at half time with a nasty hand injury....fingers crossed he'll only miss maybe two matches.
