Well the countdown has begun....10 days to go to the gates opening on the 18th!

The Leinster Branch held a meeting via Zoom last Tuesday night for all affiliated clubs. Susie - Helen - Ciaran - Kevin and I attended. It was a very good presentation headed "Return to Play" protocols outlining the various guidelines for both the courts and booking systems etc. We are awaiting Tennis Ireland to issue the full guidelines which will then be approved by the executive before we circulate the details to the Membership. The Booking system will not be open for booking until at least Wed 13th May.

The Leinster Tennis AGM was held via Zoom last night. Our Lady Captain, Helen Ryan, attended on behalf of the Executive Committee. Monkstown LTC and its members were paid a special Thank You during the AGM for their assistance, hard work and participation in hosting the 2019 Senior Interpros. That event was identified as the highlight of the past 12 months for tennis in Leinster. The new Leinster Council, comprised of 16 people, was ratified at the AGM. Johnny O'Shea was re-elected for a third term on the Council. He will sit on two sub-committees in 2020/21 - Commercial / Marketing and Child Safeguarding. Good to have a represetative on the Council. Congrats and good luck Johnny.

Good news from Sean O'Kelly - Andrew & Siobhan's son - he has become engaged to the love of his life Megan! Sean has been down to the club on many occasions... Sean, we wish you and Megan a life of good health and happiness. That's it for this week...we'll comunicate to you the guidelines for the reopening of the club ASAP. Take care - stay safe and look out for one another.
