Club Notices
Thank you to all the members who attended the lovely memorial service for Colm Maguire last Saturday. We were blessed with a beautiful sunny day and we were so happy to meet Colm’s friends, neighbours, former work colleagues and his family. Everyone said he would have really enjoyed the day as it was just full of happy memories. His brothers Eugene and Tony were very appreciative of all those who came to remember him and were pleased to meet all his MLTC friends. Thanks to everyone who helped throughout the day with the refreshments.

Captains’ Day
Preparations are well underway and we are really looking forward to welcoming everyone to the club on Sunday. Just a reminder that tennis starts at 2pm with the Prosecco reception from 5pm. Remember to bring an extra 2 euros for Strawberries and Cream during the afternoon – and hopefully we will get a bit of sunshine too.
Summer League
Summer league is up and running with 8 Ladies Teams and 5 Men’s Teams in action. The first two weeks of matches have already been played with very strong performances from several of the teams. We will keep you posted as we progress through the remaining weeks.
Ladies League Coaching
We have had a very low take up for ladies’ singles coaching tonight (Thursday), and unfortunately we have needed to cancel these sessions. We will be reaching out to each of the teams to see if we will have enough take up for doubles coaching. Update to follow.
Men’s Morning
Courts 4, 5, and 6 will be available this Sunday from 10am - 12 noon.

5 Mile League
The 5 Mile League got off to a great start with a win for the MLTC team captained by Yvonne Owen - keep up the momentum girls!.
Ladies Social Tennis
Our last social tennis morning will run next Wednesday 25th May and will be hosted by Isabella Davidson - please join us for some great tennis, chats, coffee and cake! Social Tennis will resume again later this year after the summer.
Junior News
A reminder to parents that there will be no junior coaching this Sunday 22nd May because of Captains’ Day.
Parent & Child Tournament
A reminder also that the very popular Parent & Child Tournament will be held on Monday 6th June from 12 – 3pm. The sign-up sheet is on the notice board and the contribution will be €20 per family entering. The funds raised will be in aid of T4C (Tennis for Cancer) which is headed up by our own club member Grace Owens. Please bring along a plate of goodies if you are attending.
Summer Camps
The Summer Camp Schedule is attached. Booking will be available via Easy Payments from Monday 23rd May at 12 noon. `
Club Night
Club night tonight will be hosted by Isabella Davison. Do come along and Stephen will give some coaching support at the beginning of the evening. This is an opportunity to meet and play with members of varying standards and is a relaxed evening of tennis.
Isabella continues to host club night regularly along with being the club’s event co-ordinator. We need more volunteers to host an evening so please let her know if you can host an evening.
