Handicaps Start Today – Everything you Need to Know

Hi everyone, 

Summer has officially arrived with the lovely warm weather, and tonight is the first night of our Handicaps.  Please come down to the club and join us to watch the tennis and enjoy some of the tasty treats in our Handicaps Café, along with a nice cup of tea, a glass of wine or a cold beer. 

If you are playing, remember to check the schedule on the website Every Day.

Match Scheduling - Check your match Every Day 

·      Match details will be posted on the Tournament Website

MLTC Senior Handicaps 2022 | Tennis Ireland (tournamentsoftware.com)

·      We can only schedule matches one or two days in advance, so you need to check the website every day. 

·      Remember, we do not notify people of their matches, it is up to you to check the schedule.  And always double check on the day, as times of matches may change.

·      Please arrive 10 minutes early for your match and remember to bring your own balls

 Format

·      Matches will be Best of 3 Short Sets - First to 6 Games (no tie breaks)

·      Full games will be played

Plate Events

·      In the Doubles events, if you lose your first match, you will be entered in the Plate. 

·      Note:  Format may change for Plate Matches

Handicaps

·      Every player / doubles pairing will be given a handicap.  

·      The handicaps are designed to make every match as fair as possible and to give everyone a chance of winning.  We have done our best to get the handicaps right, but we may adjust as we go through the tournament, if we feel it is needed!
