LADIES SOCIAL TENNIS

The last ladies morning of the season was held on Wednesday.  We were delighted to see such a great turnout. Everyone got a chance to play some great tennis and catch up in the glorious sunshine.

We hope everyone has a fantastic summer and looking forward to seeing you all again in September.

MEN’S MORNING

Men’s morning is back to the usual time of 10am to 12.  Open to men of all tennis standards – come down and have a great game followed by a cuppa – hopefully sitting in the sun!

SUMMER CAMP  SCHEDULE

Many fun camps for the young ones – Booking now open on Easy Payments!

TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT

As we enter our busy season with summer camps and supervision commencing shortly the H&S committee remind members if they do wish to park in the driveway that they drive towards the trees on pathway to club and reverse into the turning circle for the safety of the many children entering and exiting throughout the day.

From 19th June we ask all members to be extra careful if they drive into the club as there may be additional maintenance traffic in the driveway.

CLUB MAINTENANCE

Arek is commencing painting the club house interior this week so there may be some additional ladders and equipment while he is working away. We hope this will freshen up the interior and we thank Arek for his work in advance.

The roof work is almost complete with re-pointing of tiles, replacement of broken roof tiles, and new guttering being installed.

Arek continues to work on fencing repairs while the fencing to the rear of courts 4, 5 and 6 will be replaced next week.

The kitchen floor was replaced last week and all the floor tiles in function room, corridor and bathrooms have been deep cleaned.

COURTS 4, 5, 6

The work on the roots is due to commence this Monday 19th and as a result there will only be 3 courts available for the week. We ask members to be mindful of not over booking courts so the courts are shared out between everyone. It is essential that members cancel a court if they don’t plan to use it.

NEW MEMBERS

We welcome the small number of new members who have joined the club in the past few months – we hope you enjoy your time in MLTC.

If any members have any queries please feel free to pop into the office any morning where Carol or Anne will be happy to guide you.

We will have a busy summer with supervision and camps for the children and our Handicap and Championship Events for Seniors so do join in as it is a great opportunity to meet members.
