LADIES SOCIAL EVENT
The Ladies Committee will be holding a ladies tennis tournament on Friday 27th September between 7-9pm followed by wine, nibbles and chats. BYOB. All welcome!
Sign up sheet is now on the notice board. Please sign up by Wednesday 25th September or message a member of the ladies committee who will add your name in.
Entry fee is €10 to be paid on the night, either by cash or Revolut.
LADIES SENIOR LEAGUE
This league continues to be challenging for all 8 teams participating .
We are going into week 3 of the group stages so all to play for.
A special thank you to all the team captains who are working hard to get their best team each week challanged by injuries and unavailabitities .Thank you captains , I really appreciate your efforts and commitment.
O60s LADIES LEAGUE
Congratulations again to our over 60s team who for the second week have achieved full points .
Well done everyone involved.
LADIES FLOODLIGHT LEAGUE
This league starts on Tuesday 24th September with a minimum of 2 teams registered.
The plan is to use our younger members following their participation and success in the recent championships. As the future of the club we wish them the best of luck. Other players will be registered as subs if required to play.
MEN’S SENIOR LEAGUE (0/35s and 0/45s)
MLTC has three teams competing in the DLTC men's senior league (doubles tennis with matches played on Sunday afternoons at 1;30pm). Team 1 (035/ class 1) has been weakened of late with injuries. Kudos to those who have stepped up to play into team 1 - not an easy thing to do!! Team 2 (O35 /class 3) picked up a useful point away to LCC last weekend, and Team 3 (O45 / Class 2) enjoyed an away win at Fitzwilliam ==> well done Dermot Hayes and team. This weekend Team 1 will travel to Sutton, and Team 2 will host Rathgar (Team 3 has a gap week) - best of luck guys and go MLTC!
MEN’S FLOODLIGHT LEAGUE
The DLTC men's floodlight league will commence on Monday 23rd September - format contemplates a team of 4 players with two singles matches and one doubles match. MLTC has entered two teams - both at class 2. All players / substitutes are welcome. Sign up using the WhatsApp link below. MEN’S MORNING – Sunday Mornings
Men’s Morning will be from 10am – 11pm this Sunday (shorter time due to Senior League). Do come down for a hit and a cuppa and chat after!
LADIES MORNING
The sun was out on Wednesday and we had a great turn out almost 20 ladies enjoyed tennis followed by lovely cakes, coffee and chats which Anne Tynan kindly hosted.
Breege Clancy is hosting next Wednesday ladies morning starting at 10am, so please come down for tennis, followed by coffee and chats.
CLUB NIGHT THURSDAY
Club night is on tonight – come along anytime between 8pm and 10pm for a social game, and Stephen will get things started at 8pm!
JUNIOR LEAGUES
Best of luck to our U14 & U18 league teams who kick off their campaigns with their first matches in the DLTC Junior League this weekend.
Our Stars & Stripes U12 teams are back in action again this Saturday. They are home this weekend to Shankill.

UPDATE FROM STEPHEN
DAVIS CUP
We wish Conor Gannon the very best of luck as he and his Ireland teammates take on Tunisia in their crucial Davis Cup World Group 2 match tomorrow and Saturday.
The team is led by our own Conor Niland (Non - Playing Captain).
The match takes place in the Tunisian capital, Tunis.
