Newsflash - Ladies Doubles Box Competition - October 2021

Dear Lady Member

I plan to run a Ladies Doubles Box Competition across all League / non League levels in conjunction with Vice Captain, Clodagh, and Head Coach, Stephen.

It will work as follows:

*  All entrants will be organised in boxes of 8 players within (or as close as possible) to your league / non league level.

*  Each player will play 7 doubles matches within their box.

*  Each player will play with a different partner for each match.

*  Each match will be the best of 11 games and played within one hour.

*  Each player will accrue the number of games they win in each match and the overall number of  games totalled across the 7 matches.

*  Matches will be organised by the players themselves.

*  Matches will start from Friday 15th of October and be played over 6 weeks, to be completed by 26th of November.

*  Cost of entry is €10, which will be donated to charity.

This will be a good way to mix up our games and an opportunity to play competitively with a variety of different partners. All levels of tennis welcome to sign up, including non league players.

There have been requests from some members to put together a 'Ladies Ladder'. This type of competition will assist in the development over time of an active ladder.

Please sign up through Easy Payments on the club website, under "Ladies Doubles Box competition". This will be open for sign up on Friday 1st October from 5pm and will close on Monday 4th October at 5pm There's no limit on entries.
