Snippets 01/04/21

Hi Folks!

Well, having digested the announcement that no tennis  - as hoped for - from 5th  April, let's look on the positive side and appreciate we now have a definite date - 26th April - and feel very privileged that tennis is one of the first sports to have restrictions on play lifted.

It's actually very exciting, so keep maintaining your fitness level in readiness for the 26th!

I'll give you a summary next week of the preparations the Captains - Karen & Eoin - along with the Coaches -  have been doing behind the scenes and the work the gardening committee have put in over the last couple of weeks.  Far from being neglected the club looks blooming and the courts, so carefully maintained by Arek, are agitating for some play! 

It just leaves me to wish you all a very Happy Easter - remembering especially our young members who are currently overseas - Julie (Byrne) and Fergus (O'Ruairc) in the States...

Harry (Crossan) Sean (O'Rourke) Brian (Cullen) and Caroline (Grace)  in various parts of Europe..

Elizabeth (Mc Gee) and Mark (Cooney) far away in Australia...thinking of you all at this time and let's hope it won't be too long before you can make it home for a visit.

 The countdown has started....see you in 24 days!!
