Hi Folks!
Well a relatively quiet week in the club this week...many people on holiday...others winding down after the Handicaps and preparing for the Championships! By the way entries for the Championships close on Monday next the 9th..so do get involved and enter...it's traditionally a great event and caters for ALL standards!
Our juniors are also preparing for their Championships - again the closing date is next Monday. Karen is all set to run another very popular event - ably assisted by our Junior Captain, Theo.
The following is an update from the Health & Safety Committee of the work being done on the Driveway....
We are delighted to inform you that the driveway will reopen for parking on Monday 9th August. We would remind members to reverse into the turning point and face out before parking.
There will be limited spaces available for motorcycles. These spaces have been marked out and will be designated accordingly. In addition to the members’ spaces, there will be a reserved space for Disabled Parking / Admin purposes and we thank you in advance for not parking in this space.
A speed ramp has also been added and double yellow lines where parking is not permitted - please adhere to such markings.
Thank you again for your patience with this project.
Margaret Quinn - on behalf of the Health & Safety Committee.
Mark and Sandra Smyth have asked me to mention that their daughter - and former member - Ciara has written a new play titled "Aftertaste" being performed by the National Youth Theatre in the Abbey. The show is available online on the Abbey Theatre website from Sunday next at the following link

Many of us have attended Ciara's plays in the past and they have always been most entertaining. Best of luck Ciara!
Would you believe the Lost Property is beginning to mount up! If you're missing anything would you check the ever increasing pile in the window near the entrance door. Thanks a mil!
Just a final note of Congratulations to our TWO Olympians...our 2 Sarahs! You did yourselves - your country - and of course MLTC so proud! It was an amazing achievement to win selection - particularly at such a young age..Sarah 19 and Sarah 20! What a future you both have....Paris here we come!
That's it for this week...our summer is creeping by...so enjoy it!
Warm regards
Judy
