Hi Folks!
Never thought I'd be so excited to hear the sound of a tennis ball being hit!
The club is just a haven of smiles and good humoured adults and kiddies over the last couple of days.... topped off with blue skies. It's just fantastic to see such activity in our beautiful club.
Some of you were looking for clarification of court times. If you click onto the following link the guidelines are there. https://www.monkstownltc.com/club-rules
Following on with the excitement of reopening the club, the big news of the week is on the academic side....not one, but two of our Student members have achieved the amazing honour of becoming a Trinity Scholar. Huge congratulations to Ben Gannon (Law) and Anna Woodcock (Engineering) ..you must be over the moon with such an achievement - as must be your parents Dave & Karen...and Peter & Sarah. Becoming a Trinity Scholar is a major achievement for which second year students must perform exceptionally well in exams held in January, showing deep knowledge of their subjects. The students continue with their usual course work as well as studying independently for these exams. So, Trinity Scholars Ben & Anna, we salute you!
JUNIORS: Just a reminder that there WILL be coaching next Monday, despite being a Bank Holiday.

Hopefully, at teatime this evening we'll hear more good news about the lifting of restrictions. No doubt some of you have had a tougher time than others, so please God the Vaccine programme will move along quickly and we'll be able to hug each other again!
More good news to see our Garry back in action again...fingers crossed he'll get Leinster over the line on Sunday and then the wait til May 6th?!
That's it for this week...hope you're all feeling uplifted this week...but still take care and look out for each other.
Warm regards
Judy
