MEN’S SENIOR LEAGUE (0/35s and 0/45s)

Last weekend, Team 1 (035/ class 1; captained by Stephen O'Shea) picked up three points against Malahide. Team 1 will remain in class for the 2025 senior league - a great outcome, well done all. Team 2 (O35 /class 3; captained by Bill Condon) enjoyed a super away win against Terenure. Team 2 now top the table in their group.  Bill and the guys will contest the playoffs on Sunday - a home match against Celbridge at 1:30pm. Great if you can come along and support our guys in action  - best of luck Bill and team 2!!  Team 3 (O45 / Class 2; captained by Dermot Hayes) finished their campaign with an excellent away win at St. Mary's.  Well done Dermot and all on Team 3.

MEN’S FLOODLIGHT LEAGUE

MLTC has two teams (both at class 2) competing in the DLTC men's floodlight league (format contemplates a team of 4 players with two singles matches and one doubles match - matches played on Monday evenings at 7pm).

Team 1 (captained by Johnny O'Shea) had a tough away match this week to David Lloyd Riverview. I know the guys will kick on for their home match on Monday next against Malahide (7pm start). Again, do come along and support our club members in action - and catch some great tennis too!! Team 2 (captained by David Keane) had an excellent home win this week against Elm Park.  David and Team 2 will take this good form to Shankill on Monday next - best of luck lads. Go MLTC!!

O60s LADIES LEAGUE

Well what can we say once  again about our o60s team...amazing

Another win in the final group match having only dropped 1 point over the 5 qualifying  matches.

Huge congratulations to everyone involved.

Through to the playoffs on  Wednesday 9th October we wish the team the very best of luck

Details to follow soon.

 LADIES SENIOR LEAGUE

Senior league reached its conclusion last Sunday.

Despite the endless challenges 7 teams have stayed in class with only one team demoted.

This is a very satisfactory outcome given the difficulties.

With over 70 members participating across 8 teams I would like to give a huge shout out and thank you to all team  captains some of whom had to make major efforts  to field teams 👏

Thank you for your commitment to your teams and the club. We got there in the end 👌

LADIES FLOODLIGHT LEAGUE

2 rounds have been completed with some super matches so far.

All to play for over the next 3 weeks.

Best of luck to all 3 teams.

CHARITY LEAGUE

The Ladies Committee are delighted to have been able to accommodate everyone keen to be on an Autumn Charity League team.

This has been achieved by the inclusion of two 'primary subs'  on each Advanced League team and the captains will call on them as required. Those who requested to be 'subs only' provide further back-up support.

Best of luck to our 2 Monday and 3 Tuesday teams in their first matches next week

 LADIES MORNING – Wednesday Mornings

Margaret Heagney is hosting next Wednesday ladies morning starting at 10am, so please come down for tennis, followed by coffee and chats.

CLUB NIGHT – Thursday Evenings

Club night is on tonight, forecast is good so do come along anytime between 8pm and 10pm for a social game, and Stephen will get things started at 8pm!
