What a great week of tennis with some super team wins on our first week of winter league. Well done to all the teams and best of luck to you all this Sunday. No doubt many of you enjoyed watching some of the Australian Tennis Open with great wins by Nadal and Ash Barty last weekend and let’s hope we can match some of their resilience and determination in our own matches this weekend!
Subs
We would like to remind those of you who have yet to pay the annual subscription that it can be paid via Easy Payments. Please contact Anne Crossan in the office if you have any queries regarding the payment method.
Men’s Morning
This Sunday - courts 4, 5 and 6 will be available for men’s morning tennis from 9 – 11am.
Senior Coaching
The next term of General Senior Coaching and League Coaching sessions starts on the week commencing 7th February. A reminder to anyone who hasn’t signed up to do so as soon as possible as we need a minimum of 6 people to run a class. Sessions are available to book via Easy Payments.
Ladies Charity League
The ladies teams have been finalised and are on the noticeboard. The league will commence at the end of February.
Ladies Morning Tennis
We have had lots of entries for the Ladies’ Valentine’s Day Tournament, which is taking place next Wednesday the 9th February at 9.30 am. There is still space for more entrants! All levels are welcome! The signup sheets are up on the notice board in the Clubhouse. There is a €10 entry payment which will be donated to charity. The charity is CRY which raises awareness of the condition known as Sudden Cardiac Death or Sudden Adult Death Syndrome. Payment can be made on the day. Entries close on Sunday the 6th February. If you can’t make it to the clubhouse to sign up, please don’t hesitate to contact one of the Ladies Committee members or text Katie Legge.

Stars & Stripes
The very popular Stars & Stripes U12 League starts on 12th February, followed by matches on 19th and 26th February. The semi-finals will take place on 5th March and the finals in Leopardstown on 12th March. Sign-up sheets are on the Noticeboard – the closing date to sign up is Wednesday 9th February.
Club Night
Club night tonight will be hosted by Deirdre Toner . All are welcome as it promises to be a lovely evening and we will have Stephen giving some coaching support at the beginning of the evening. If anyone is willing to host a club night – please put your name on the Rota in the function room or contact Isabella.
