LADIES SUMMER LEAGUE
Another very good week for week 4 of MLTC ladies summer league with 4 out of 7 teams who have played so far securing a win. Overall teams are in a very positive situation, lots of points won with many in contention for playoffs. All to go for in week 5.
UPDATE FROM THE MEN’S CAPTAIN: Men's Summer League
With two rounds of matches yet to play (this weekend and next weekend), Team 2, Team 3, and Team 4 are well in contention in their respective groups. To recap, the matches for Team 1 (class 1) concluded in May. This weekend, Team 2 (class 2) will play Wicklow Town at home - both teams are equally matched in the league so all to play for here. Best of luck Harry Crossan and team. Team 3 (class 4) are motoring well in their group (currently in second place), and will travel to Celbridge tomorrow evening. Best of luck Hugo Faughnan and team. Team 4 (class 6) will host Mount Pleasant at home on Saturday - again both teams are equally matched in the league so all to play for here. Best of luck Ciaran Bolger and team.
Home Matches to Watch / Support This Week:
Friday June 7 at 7pm: Team 2 (class 2) v Wicklow Town
· Saturday June 8 at 2pm: Team 4 (Class 6) v Mount Pleasant

UPDATE FROM STEPHEN
As always the Parent & Child Tournament held last Monday was a great success. It's so nice to see parents and their kiddies competing together.
The standard of tennis was very high, with both camaraderie and competitiveness on view! What struck me most was the sportsmanship shown from all sides...not a tantrum in sight from mum, dad or child!!
Many thanks to Sheila and her helpers who kept the goodies going and Mickeymac and Karen for assisting with the results.
What would I do without my right hand man Ronan - always there to keep his eagle eye on things and keep me in line! Thanks a mil Ronan!
Hope you've signed up for the various Tennis Camps...should be a good learning curve and good fun.
The Summer League has just one match left to play - the most important match of the campaign - so go for it!
I'll finish by wishing all our 6th year students the very best of luck in the dreaded Leaving Cert! You're a cool bunch so you'll be ok
All the best Stephen
