MLTC Club Notices 28/11/2024

RESULTS FROM THE ‘AT HOME’ SURVEY
There was a very strong response  to the survey, we want to thank everyone for taking the time to complete it.
The key outcomes are:
1) Close to 50% attended the ‘At Home’ at some stage
2) Reasons for not attending is broad, cost being a very small issue.
3) From those who have attended, 52% would like the format to change
4) For members who haven’t attended yet, 85% are more likely to go if the format changed
6) The format of prize giving, drinks, finger food and music either on site or outside of the tennis club are the most popular options.

Outcome: With the higher  level of interest amongst members to attend if the format changed to prize giving, fingers food and music, we will be looking at alternatives for the end of senior championships celebrations in August.

Many thanks to all who participated in the survey, it’s has greatly helped us make decisions in our planning for 2025
Thanks
Dermot and Colette

MIXED DOUBLES COMPETITION (fri 22nd Nov)

Mixed doubles competition Friday 22 November

The weather Gods once again looked after Captains Declan & Jacqui last Friday during the mixed team competition despite the threat of Storm Bert and baltic temperatures.

44 members wrapped up and played in near perfect conditions.

The twist in the scoring (3 points in the last game) caused all sorts of problems with regard to team scores

Super competitive tennis followed by pizza  & a few drinks was enjoyed by all.

We were also able to make a further donation to Monkstown SVP which totals €500 over the 2 mixed Friday competition .

LADIES DOUBLES BOX COMPETITION

We are 3 weeks into this  internal competition with 3 weeks to go.

By all accounts great matches are taking place.

Best of luck with remaining matches
