UPDATE  FROM  STEPHEN

Junior Finals Day last Saturday was a big success.  The standard of tennis was of the highest order - but what impressed me most was the sporting manner in which matches were played - win or lose the kids came off the court smiling. Thanks again to Karen & Lucy & to all the parents for their enthusiasm and support.

This year the special  Junior awards  -  selected on the basis of that extra bit of  helpfulness - smile -  &  general  presence around the club went to

"Girl of the Year"   Grace Cleary

"Boy of the Year"   Richard Kinsella

"Harry Crowe" award   Sean  Carney

Congrats to the three of you  -  well deserved!

The Club Championships are progressing very well .  The level of tennis on view is of the highest order - with some absorbing matches each night. Nice to see so many of our younger members down to support the players - creating a super atmosphere.

Well done to Jacqui & Declan..(& Anne in the background!) for your total commitment over the last two weeks.  Finals Day on Saturday promises a day of class tennis.

Thanks to Ger & her hardworking team in the 'Cafe' for looking after our food & liquid needs!

Hope all you Leaving Cert students got your required choice...you deserve it - you're a  great bunch.

Back to reality next week!  Keep your tennis going & sign up for any of the many coaching groups on offer - both Adult & Junior, (Junior open for booking now, Adults coming soon)

All the best     Stephen
