The Rules for the championship 2022

Closing Date For entries Monday 8th August. No late entries accepted.

1.     Only online entries will be accepted using your Tennis Ireland Pin. Payment of €10 per event, via PayPal, is part of the entry process.

2.     Players can enter a maximum of 3 events (singles, doubles, mixed) except under 10s who can enter 2 events as no mixed doubles in this age group.

3.     Players can ONLY ENTER IN THEIR OWN AGE GROUP. There is one exception to this – the U16s Doubles can play up to U18s Doubles as there is no doubles in their age group.

4.     Minimum age is 8. Players must be under specified age on 1st January 2022. For example an under 10 must be born in 2012 or later.

5.     When entering doubles you do not need your partners Pin, only their name.

6.     Availability – Juniors not fully available for part of the tournament may only enter one event which must be singles. Only exceptional unavailability requests will be considered. As part of online entry you are asked to fill in any unavailability.

7.     You must be available for finals day but please note that the finals of the mixed doubles will be on the Friday 19th along with singles plate events.

8.     All matches will consist of 2 full sets. A championship tie break will operate if the score is 1 set all.

9.     Order of play will be on Tournament Software and posted on the club windows. Juniors should check this daily at https://ti.tournamentsoftware.com/tournament/20880162-F37B-49D7-A3CF-1AA797624C27

10. Players must provide their own tennis balls. Note under 10s will play full court with midi balls.
